6th Annual Latino Awards 2022
On October 7, the Andalusian city of Granada hosted the 6th edition of the Latino Awards 2022. These awards are organized by the Gala Acción Social, whose objective is to promote Ibero-American culture and highlight the importance of the arts by honoring all those professionals in the sector who work tirelessly to bring their talent to all film and music lovers.
Numerous singers of international reach such as Miguel Poveda, Francisco Céspedes, and the former Eurovision representative Rosa López, among many others, were some of the award-winning artists.
The award ceremony was held at the new Isabel la Católica Theater, located in the city center.
The gala was hosted by the charismatic Cuban-born singer Lucrecia, who was responsible for presenting the artists with their trophies. The artists chosen to receive the Latino Gold Awards were honored in different categories:
The Latino Gold Award for Best Producer and Composer went to Alain Pérez.
The Latino Award for the Preservation of Spanish-Language Music went to Joaquín Hurtado, who also received recognition for his work at the Radiolé radio station.
The Latino Honorary Award went to the singer-songwriter and musician Francisco Céspedes.
The Latino Gold Award for Pop Singer Career Achievement went to the Granada-born singer Rosa López.
The Latino Gold Award for Cante Jondo went to another Granada native, singer Kiki Morente.
The Latino Gold Award for Career Achievement went to the flamenco dancer Antonio Canales.
The Latino Gold Award for Best Flamenco Singer went to the singer Miguel Poveda.
And finally, the Latino Gold Award for Best Musical Choreographer went to Javier Castillo “Poty”.
Once the presentation of awards concluded, a grand closing party was held at the Palacio de Los Córdova for all guests of honor and their companions at the foot of the imposing Alhambra.
