IN DIEM Abogados: Legal Instruction at UNED and the European University

The UNED, the National University of Distance Education, has appointed our colleague María del Castillo Falcón Caro as a professor in the Bachelor’s Degree in Legal Sciences program, where she teaches in-person classes on legal subjects.

This activity reinforced her teaching and research work, which she had to balance with the programs she also taught at the European University in Madrid.

Legal Teaching and Professional Experience

A university-level legal education requires a combination of theoretical knowledge, analytical skills, and practical experience. In this regard, the involvement of legal professionals in university programs helps expose students to the realities of legal practice, the interpretation of laws, and the resolution of specific problems.

Teaching legal subjects is not limited to conveying legal content. It also involves training students in legal reasoning, argumentation, institutional understanding, case analysis, methodology, and the practical application of the law.

The involvement of professionals in the legal field helps strengthen that connection between the university, research, and professional practice.

The Importance of Continuing Legal Education

The law is constantly evolving. Legislative reforms, changes in case law, digital transformation, the internationalization of legal relationships, and the emergence of new regulated sectors all require constant updating.

For this reason, continuing legal education is essential for both students and professionals. It enables them to understand changes in the law, develop professional judgment, and acquire the tools needed to act with confidence in various professional contexts.

Participation in university settings such as the UNED and the European University reflects the importance of maintaining an ongoing dialogue between the academic world and the practice of law.

University, Research, and Legal Practice

Teaching and research in the field of law allow for a deeper exploration of the fundamentals of law, an analysis of its evolution, and an assessment of its practical application in society.

From a professional perspective, legal research promotes a better understanding of legal issues and provides tools for addressing complex matters with greater rigor.

The connection between the university and the law firm enriches both aspects: the academic aspect, through exposure to the realities of the legal profession, and the professional aspect, through constant technical updates.

IN DIEM Abogados and Its Commitment to Training

The participation of professionals from IN DIEM Abogados in teaching, training, and research activities reflects the firm’s commitment to technical excellence, staying current with legal developments, and sharing knowledge.

In this context, María del Castillo Falcón Caro’s teaching work exemplifies the relationship between academic knowledge, professional experience, and a commitment to legal service.
