Biography

Held the position of Magistrate-Judge in Courts of First Instance and Instruction from 1998 to 2004, when she was appointed Prosecutor by competitive examination, serving in that capacity from that year until 2024.

Her teaching career is also noteworthy, serving as University Professor, as well as in Master’s and Postgraduate Law programs at institutions including Universidad Europea, Universidad Hispalense, UNED, and Universidad de Loyola Andalucía.

María del Castillo Falcón Caro is a professional with comprehensive knowledge of the judicial system, combining extensive legal practice with research and teaching at the finest universities in Spain.

 

Education

Law Degree from Universidad Hispalense. Criminology Degree from Universidad Europea de Madrid. Judicial Service Competitive Examinations.

Doctorate in Criminal and Procedural Law from Universidad Hispalense, with highest academic honors.

Postgraduate Expert in Juvenile Justice, Criminology, and Mediation.

María del Castillo Falcón Caro is registered in the Mediators Registry of the Junta de Andalucía and with the Illustrious Bar Association of Seville, membership number 7,853.

Currently, she serves as Head of Training at the Instituto de Mediación Integradora, a center accredited by the Ministry of Justice (through Tecnomediación) to provide training in Civil and Commercial Mediation and, currently, in collaboration with CES. She also holds the position of President of the Association for Professional Mediation Mediar-Te.

Author of numerous scholarly articles, as well as the works “Malos tratos a la mujer. Estudio Jurídico Penal y criminológico” (Ed. Bosch) and “La Escuela Integradora: para el ejercicio personal y profesional de la mediación” (Ed. Athenaica).
